In a recent study, Creditnews Research ranked the most populous U.S. cities by the percentage of neighborhoods financially within reach for the average married couple. To create its ranking, Creditnews used median income for married households in order to determine the percentage of unaffordable neighborhoods. Of the 10 cities with the most unaffordable neighborhoods, four are in California. Two cities in the Golden State, Los Angeles and San Jose, were found to be 100% unaffordable for the average married couple household.

British techbio startup Qureight has secured $8.5 million in an oversubscribed Series A round. Launched in 2018, Qureight wants to simplify how pharma companies deal with the complex datasets often used during clinical trials. "For example, we can start to structure images of lungs using AI," said cofounder and CEO Muhunthan Thillai. CNN —A former interpreter for Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani is in negotiations to plead guilty to federal crimes related to accusations he stole millions from Ohtani and used it for gambling, the New York Times reported Wednesday, citing three people familiar with the matter. Ippei Mizuhara was fired last month after Ohtani’s lawyers accused him of stealing from Ohtani and placing bets with a bookmaker who is under federal investigation. Ohtani later alleged Mizuhara stole the money from his bank account. “I’m very saddened and shocked that someone who I’ve trusted has done this,” Ohtani, Major League Baseball’s only two-way player, said. The crypt up for auction is one row above and four spaces to the left of Monroe's spot. Naro, a German fintech startup, has raised $3 million in pre-seed funding. Cologne-based Naro, founded in 2022, wants to take advantage of the boom in exchange-traded funds — or ETF — products in Europe to offer white-label services to various banks, funds, and brokers. Naro's pre-seed funding round was led by Berlin's La Famiglia alongside Discovery Ventures, plus investment from Robin Capital, Angel Invest, and various angels. Funding will go towards expanding the startup's current team of 10 staff as it looks to partner with potential customers looking to build out products within their existing infrastructure.
